Your 5 star luxury Holiday Cottage on the Anglesey Coast
Coed y Berclas is strictly for non-smokers and no pets.
Coed y Berclas self catering holiday cottage is traditional, warm and comfortable, with three bedrooms and has a lovely fruit tree orchard to the side with spectacular coastal and mountain views.
This historic cottage stands in a four acre site, situated half way between Beaumaris and Menai Bridge, and above the Menai Strait, in an area of outstanding natural beauty. Passing conveniently along the edge of the land is The Anglesey Coastal Path, part of the Wales coast path.
The private, peaceful detached cottage has been completely refurbished for 2020 and as a result we are delighted that it has been re-graded by Visit Wales to their highest 5 star rating.
It is decorated throughout in soft farrow and ball colours to give a light and fresh contemporary feel whilst still retaining plenty of period cottage character. Coming in from the cottage garden you enter the spacious living room.
This is warmed by a wood burner in the original fireplace along with underfloor heating beneath the oak floor. Two generous and comfortable sofas with plenty of feather cushions and throws ensure a sense of cosy warmth.
Being south facing, light floods in all day through the pretty sash window and glazed door.
Further items include a TV / DVD player and shelves of local Information, games and DVDs.
The bright new kitchen is next door and has ample storage, a dishwasher, good sized fridge/freezer, a gas cooker and microwave with a solid oak table and chairs.
Upstairs up to four people can be accommodated in three comfortable bedrooms, all with new oak beds and furniture. All the bedrooms are open into the eaves with the beams exposed to give a characterful sense of light and space.
The main bedroom has a very comfortable king size bed. Both windows have the beautiful view over the Strait towards Snowdonia, which you can watch from the luxury of your bed!
Both single bedrooms have quality sprung coil and memory foam mattresses on solid oak bed frames, along with a wardrobe and bedside chest and a sweet velvet chair. The front bedroom has the same wonderful view as the main bedroom.
The cosy garden bedroom looks over a lawn to flower beds and woodland beyond.
The spacious new shower room has modern styling.
The cottage is a lovely place to be and in addition you have your own large and completely private sunny orchard garden with uninterrupted, elevated views of the North Wales Coast and Snowdonia Mountains beyond.
There is seating and a generous outdoor table. It’s a perfect place for relaxing, reading, painting and more. From the lawned orchard there is a path into woodland for you to explore, and behind the cottage is a small lawn with a tree swing. This video shows what you can expect.
We love all our guest reviews but a stand out one for the cottage that really made us smile included:
“The peaceful setting ensured that the only sounds were the call of a distant curlew and the gentle thud of a ripe pear falling to the ground.” – Mary and Graham, Wensleydale.
If you need additional accommodation we also offer a luxurious Guest Room. The Guest Room is an additional large en-suite room with King size bed. It has its own external access and a lovely private south-east facing sun terrace with comfortable outdoor seating.
The Guest Room is either available on its own or can provide additional accommodation for those staying in the Apartment or Cottage. It looks out over the lawn and enjoys marvellous views of the Menai Strait and Snowdonia.
The Guest Room is available by the night. For pricing please contact us.
Enjoy your stay!
