Zach did a lovely drawing

Drawing of Puffin Lighthouse, Anglesey: by Zac.

When Zach, Harry and their Mum and Dad stayed in our Cottage over half term, they were out every day on voyages of discovery around Anglesey. Dad and Mum enjoyed finding out about the distant past, visiting the stoneage burial chambers at Bryn Celli Du and Barclodiad y Gawres.

Beaumaris Castle was also a big hit, especially with Harry: but Zach arrived at Coed y Berclas with a special mission in mind: he wanted to see all the lighthouses on Anglesey, so the family visited Point Linas, South Stack, Penmon and Llanddwyn Island where there are actually two lighthouses. They even managed to see the Skerries lighthouse from Holyhead breakwater, and that’s about seven miles off shore.

When we looked in the Cottage Visitors’ Book we were delighted to see Zach’s superb drawing of the lighthouse at Penmon Point – Trwyn Du is its Welsh name – with Puffin Island in the background. Well done, Zach, it really is a very good drawing.
